How are we tracking this quarter?
December 2022 Engagement Survey Results
Thank you again for doing your part and getting involved in the ongoing Staff Engagement survey. We know everyone is busy and we're grateful that you managed to take the time to provide feedback. Once again, we've aggregated* the results to get a picture of what we are currently doing well and develop some goals on where we would like to be. Below is a brief overview of the findings. If you would like more information on the results, the survey or the engagement process please reach out to your direct manager.
* Note results for these surveys will always be aggregate figures as individual responses are anonymous.
A brief refresher on scoring
We’re hard markers at neurocare! To ensure we are working towards real improvements, we’ve benchmarked our results with industry best practice. Completion targets based on LinkedIn industry standards and our engagement results aligned to NPS scoring.
Let’s dive into the results!
Survey Overview
Response rate
We had an amazing response rate of 82% exceeding both last survey's response rate (69%) and our target of 75%. This is important to us as we want to make sure that feedback is truly representative of our team and helps us initiate more meaningful actions to address any suggestions or areas of improvement. A great big thank you to everyone involved!
Engagement average
In terms of results our average score was fairly consistent, shifting down ever so slightly from 4.2 to 4.1 out of 5. This is still a great result; however, we know there is room to improve. The more in-depth breakdown below looks at how this differs from the Q3 results and where we need to shift our focus.
Survey Results
The questions themselves covered 10 key areas as outlined below. We want to be transparent about where we scored highest, to try and maintain these scores, and lowest, so we can address these areas and make improvements. We analyse these areas in conjunction with your free text feedback (below).
Comparing our results to last quarter we can see we still have some work to do in promoting more opportunities (both in terms of skills development and career progression) as well as recognising the fantastic work done by the team. It's also important for us to recognise the results have uncovered a need for clearer Communication, which links closely with providing clear and available resources to enable you to work effectively.
We've taken this feedback on board and we will be looking into new initiatives in 2023 to address these areas, as well as reviewing our existing processes for areas of improvement.
Vision and Values
It was great to see the improvement in staff recognising our Vision and Values with both hitting 94% correct. Correct identification of Values was up 12% and Vision was up a massive 43% - well done!
Both Vision and Values are a key component of who we are as a team and why we come to work every day. It is important to highlight them and recognise how we embed them in our everyday actions.
neurocare Vision
neurocare Values
The free text/comments section reflected the findings of the scaled questions reinforcing some key areas for neurocare to focus on in the new year, in particular Resourcing, Recognition and Career Opportunities. There were also some great suggestions around technology and having some more social time with the team.
It's great to have constructive and actionable suggestions like this come through. We'll be revisiting all the suggestions in the new year and setting up initiatives to specifically address them. Stay tuned for updates on this in early 2023!
We’ll be conducting the engagement quarterly and will continue to share the results with you. We hope these results will help everyone to gain a good understanding of how we are turning staff insights into meaningful actions that make neurocare an even better place to work.
